Landcover - the vegetation and soils that sustain all Life on Earth.

Most of us pay little attention to the humble plants and the unfamiliar soils that make up the landscapes of this continent. That is a mistake! We should be very concerned for the well-being of the land because our lives would be greatly diminished in quantity and quality if we allow it to be degraded. We must also be even handed and be as concerned for the landcover that supports the multitudes of species with which we share this planet and that enrich our lives as we are concerned for the landcover that we have created to feed us.
