The last two test sites reinforce our understanding of the landcover change that we regard as most significant - the loss or gain of landcover. Reversible seasonal changes in greenness are interesting but not of lasting concern.

Site 7

The seventh site, near Wongamine Hill on the Goomalling-Toodyay road northeast of the Perth central business district shows fragmented clearing in the Difference FCC image. This can be supported by eyeballing the 1974 and 1988 FCC images and by the ground photography. At this site Wandoo (Eucalyptus wandoo) woodland has been cleared for agriculture and a remnant preserved as the Wongamine Nature Reserve.
