In summary

I urge you to think about all the chapters in this book and the evidence put forward in each one. I encourage you to think about balance in your environmental concern. In my opinion, Mining is unjustly criticised in public debate, and is unnecessarily pilloried in the public mind. Meanwhile, the major players in the story, the landuses that are really transforming the face of Australia, Agriculture and Pastoralism, escape with little critical scrutiny.

Whatever you decide, the target for your action is not the miner nor the farmer or grazier. If you want to change the way land is used, then the avenue of activity is political, and the focus of your democratic pressure is landuse policy.
