Lake Chad
The changes in landcover surrounding Lake Chad in Chad over the time span 08/12/72 to 14/08/87. Like the Lake Turkana images, the dominant change is in the lake level . In addition, there are substantial changes in landcover that can be attributed to landuse, principally grazing. An eyeballing of the early and late FCC images in conjunction with the Difference FCC reveals much about the condition and trend of this part of Africa.
